Hello. I hope this post finds you well.

As a budget traveler, I am always looking to stretch a dollar and the duration of a vacation by taking advantage of campgrounds, BLM property camp sites, stealth camping or affordable hotels, cooking and aquatic centers/YMCA's for showers. During my last trip, I camped 55/60 nights. Would you please elaborate on your 'bloody expensive' comment? Did you try to camp to save money or did you simply use hotels?

I am interested in your relatively current feedback about lodging options since I am planning to visit Australia in late October. An Australian buddy offered his F800GS, but I am looking at shipping my Africa Twin. Everything I am reading about Australia sounds absolutely wonderful and I will probably travel for more months than I care to leave my buddy without his motorcycle... perhaps 4-5 months.

I'll try to search for a ride report in the forum. If available, please share a ride report if you have one posted on the Internet. I would love to read about where you traveled during your three-month visit.
