Hi
Clive and I leave Cape Town on 01- September this year (not long now) We are travelling towards Nairobi and if Sudan is ok will make our way to Alexandria where the bikes will be shipped to Turkey.
I plan to blog about our route which may be useful to you for next year.

Hi, I really fancy this trip. What is your itinerary? I'm afraid I'm not prepared to camp and will not stay in anything less than 4 star accommodation. I take it you have someone with a support vehicle following you.

It will take about 4 to 6 months. I am shipping my 2019 KTM 790 Adventure from Australia.

We won't be compatible. I will stay in clean and cheaper accommodation. There will be camping when needed. No support vehicle.

I am very interested in going. Do you have a route planned yet? Do you plan on riding roads or doing cross country? How many miles do you plan per day?
I am curious how you plan to get from NE Africa to Spain.
I have crossed Russia, with a side trip to Mongolia, into Ukraine and up to Amsterdam. Also have ridden throughout central and eastern Europe.

I won't have detail plan. My route is SA to Eqypt up the the East Coast, Jordon, Israel, then ferry to (Turkey, Greece or Italy), then Spain. I plan to ride both road and off road - all depend on the scenery. Each day riding distance also depends on sightseeing and road condition. Everything is flexible.
I have done 2 long overseas trips. Vladivostok to Amsterdam. Sweden to Australia.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
