Crossing China Oct-Nov 2017 from Kyrgyzstan to Laos/Vietnam
Hi all,
We are Emeline and Hugo, a French couple going on an Asia tour in 4x4 (Defender) starting from France in June 2017. We plan to cross China from Kyrgyzstan (Irkeshtam pass) to Laos or Vietnam by end of October.
The itinerary goes first east from Kashgar to Xi'an (Silk Road), and then south through Sichuan and Yunnan towards South-East Asia, in approx. 1 month.
We are looking for other vehicles (motorbikes or car) to gather and form convoy in order to share the compulsory agency and guide cost and make it affordable. We are in contact with some agencies and such a trip for a single car costs around 7000 USD, while for 4 cars it costs 2000 USD each...
Let us know if you could be interested to join the convoy.
Best,
Hugo

Hi Hugo and Emeline
Two of us are aiming to cross the border at Irkeshtam on 15 September 2017 in a Hyundai Santa Fe 4x4 to follow the Silk Road and are looking for other travellers to share costs.

Hi Vonnie,
It could be nice to join! We plan to cross China in mid october. We'll leave France in more or less one month, and it'll be difficult for us to be in Irkeshtam pass before mid october.
We found 2 others travelers interested by those dates and itinerary. Is it possible for you to enter in China one month later? By the way, we can find a deal to met all together at the best date for everyone.

Hi Vonnie,
do you want to cross China to SE-Asia or are you going to Pakistan? I would like to join/form a group to cross to Pakistan.
Cheers,
Paul

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
