HU Russia 2018 - leaving Europe 16th - 18th
Hi - I'm planning to go to HU Russia for the 4 days (but am happy to be late by one day)- I am English but living in the south of Belgium near Namur - looking to travel with anyone who is planning to arrive for the 24th/25th so starting the journey between the 16th through to the 18th.
I am probably going to take a tent so on the way am happy to camp or stay in reasonable hotels and not fussed to either go through Eastern Europe (Poland, Latvia etc.) or Sweden/Finland.
All the best,
BB99

Hey,
I'm also thinking of attending to the event:

Unfortunately, I'm not sure yet, if it'll work out for me for this period of time.

Hi All,
OK - I have made a route-plan for this...Leaving on Sunday the 17th of June to arrive on Thursday the 21st at around lunchtime.
Germany is full of campsites and then after that, Eastern Europe is the land of cheap hotels
For myself I have planned 5 days of "easy" rides - about 550-650ks per day but personally I like to be flexible so if the weather is good I might push on a bit.
I shall be riding a 1200 GSA and will be loaded to be completely self sufficient (even though I shall probably use hotels).
So, if anyone wants to ride along please feel free to PM me and closer to the date we can co-ordinate etc. - I dont know of any other sites where rides might be co-ordinated/planned but if anyone else already has a planned ride then I would be interested to join in (assuming the dates are good)...
All the best,
BB99

I'm thinking something similar to this very rough guide.going in via st Petersburg and out further south.i don't fancy 650 kms a day as when I see something interesting I like to stop and have a look,so would be leaving a couple of days before you.let me know what you think.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
