KKH Kyrgyzstan-China-Pakistan-India June 2016
Hello everyone,
I will be driving the KKH from Kyrgyzstan through China, Pakistan and into India this June, and I would love to meet up with anyone interested in crossing at the same time - for fun, and to split the costs of getting through China
I am riding a Vespa 125, and have already driven from the UK to Kyrgyzstan, over the Pamir Highway and through the Wahkan corridor, so i promise i won't slow you up haha! I am currently teaching in Mongolia until June to save up for the KKH, and can't bloody wait!
I am already in touch with a good guide company and would love to gets some dates final before too long, so do get in touch!
Emma

Hi... I've been riding north thru East Africa for nearly four months, in Ethiopia now and aiming for India in summer. Should be in Kyrgyzstan about June so your timing would be perfect. Was in touch with tour company a few months ago and hope to lock down a plan fairly soon....

Hey...I just reread your message, and figure we are heading the same way which is awesome!
So my plans so far, are to set off from Bishkek 13th June, and enter China around 20th June....with the tour company i'm in touch with (KashgarAdvan Tour), they say its a 5 day crossing, so exiting into Pakistan 25th, and i guess hit india by the end of June...JOY!!
Do you reckon those dates might suit you? Trying to sort everything earlyish as i reckon the visas will take a bit of time...
this is my email: emmatrenchard@hotmail.co.uk, so get in touch on that too, and i could forward some info re the tour company to see if you are interested in getting the same one? from what I can gather its a fairly good price in comparison to others...

Hi again... yes, those dates are in my ballpark. I have some free time in Addis Ababa this week and am putting together a forward travel plan from Ethiopia... so Sudan, Egypt, Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The question is to where to from Kyrgyzstan, as I have several options, and whether I could get to Kyrgyzstan by mid June and do the Pamir riding I have in mind. Will email you shortly

Snap(ish)
Hi Em,
I just sent you an email - I'm heading through at almost the same time - maybe a week later to hit the Shandur Polo Festival in Pakistan - would love to hear more about your trip so far (currently suffering northern 'stans visa hell - any tips gratefully received).

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
