London UK to Melbourne Aus (July / Aug 2017)
Hey all
I'm planning a trip from London to Melbourne July/Aug 2017 (although dates are flexible).
Plan is to cut across Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan... and that's about as far as the planning got as China got in the way... which I can't afford to travel through solo. Again, flexible with routes as well (Turkey, Iran, Pakistan)... I just want to get east.
The career-break notice has been handed in and the bikes sitting in the garage.
Would love to join a group to explore a few countries with...
Cheers Chris

England to India
Hi,I'm overlanding to India, leaving August 17. I'm planning on the Turkey,Iran,Pakistan route. Riding my Royal Enfield. Have time and flexible dates,so not looking to rush.
Get in touch if you feel like meeting up along the way,if you end up going that route.
Cheers Nick.

Hey Chris
My plan is similar to yours.
I also want to leave Europe (from Switzerland) around July/August and heading east for my around the world trip.
Yes, too bad big China is in the way and I don't want to spend that much money on a guide.
I'm actually thinking about to sell my bike and gear somewhere in Central Asia to avoid the horrendous cost through China, Myanmar and Thailand. I haven't figured out the importing process/feasibility yet. I like the idea of doing SEA and China with only a backpack though.
Hit me up if u want to do some planing / a part of the trip together.

Hey Chris,
planning something similar myself but leaving in September. Have contacted Chris W to see if I can look at their groups plans but would also be interested in discussing alternatives - basically working our the best route of turkey/iran/Pakistan type route or the Russia/china route. And ideally doing that part with a few others. Happy to go our own way after that.
Let me know if you want to chat more

Hi Charlie
Chris W has been in touch. Sounds like he's going to form 2 groups of 4 so I'm going to try and tag along. Is this something you'd be up for? Will try to PM you my mobile number if you want to chat.
Cheers, Chris

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
