Riding around in South America
Hi everyone
On October 16, I will start my trip from Buenos Aires heading south. The plan is, after having reached Patagonia to start going north from the Pacific ocean side of the continent via Chile or Argentina. And then even more northbound to Peru, Ecuador and Colombia.
Whoever's wheels are on the same path is more than welcome to travel together.
Cheers,
Mike

Hey Mike.
My wife and I are on the road here {Ecuador currently) already. We have a lot of great routes in Chile, Peru and Ecuador if you want some suggestions.
Also, let us know when you're in Chile and you can crash in our spare room. We will be back there in Dec Jan most likely.

Hey Mike, I'm currently in Salta doing some work on my KLR 650, I might be going to Patagonia about the same time. I'll keep your plans in mind!
If you want to know more about me / see how companionable we would be doing Patagonia together have a read of my intro here:

Hi Bruce and Jessie
all suggestions are more than welcome. I estimate to start riding in Chile from Patagonia northbound at about mid-November. I have no time limits so it will depend on the weather and the places I meet.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Haydon
thanks for the post. We will be in touch if it is to co-ordinate our rides.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
