Thailand back to Europe

Well Plodd has been in Asia for over 1 year now and it is time to start planning her trip back to Europe, so our tentative plan is to start out from Thailand early May next year (2017) so we are looking at traveling across China from Laos to Mongolia around the middle to late May that way the timing will put us in Mongolia in late June early July.
So we are looking for a small group (1 or 2 more vehicles only) to share the trip and cost across China.
We did this trip in Plodd in reverse 2014 so we do know the perfect Guide for our reverse trip and we are awaiting her plan and price.

Hi!

Hi Dave,

Thank you for the post and I am actually looking to share cost to cross into China via Boten - Mohan crossing (option A).

The quote I got from the Chinese side tour guide (Kashgar New Land International Travel Service) was off my budget. Maybe because I am riding solo. I am looking at crossing sometime mid May 2017 (i am flexible if it not later than early June) and If you don't mind a rider joining and sharing cost, do let me know (email: fluidrider@gmail.com).

Looking forward to hear from you and hopefully something fruitful to come up from it.

Cheers!

Crossing China

Hi fluidrider,

Nice to hear from you and we would be fine with a motorbike rider, however, when we crossed coming the other way in 2014 our Chinese guide told us that motorbikes are not allowed on the motorways in China, I will try and find out if this is still the case as we will be using the motorway quite a lot in our truck on our trip back to Mongolia from Laos I let you know asap.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
