Top oportunity: from Panama on 2 Triumphs to ... ? Starting December 2014

Hi there,

I have 2 Triumph Tigers 1050, year 2008, in perfect condition in Las Lajas, Panama and seeking a travel companion. Right now I still did not make a plan, where to travel as I am open for anything. One possibility is to go together to Mexico, then Cuba. Another would be to go back to the states. Again, I am open to anything. Timewise I am flexible as I do not need to travel back to Germany at a certain point in time.

For using one of my motorcycles I am not planing to make money. But I also do not want to loose money. It is either possible to buy the motorcycle for an unbeatable price or you pay me a realistic price for the depreation of the value plus gasoline, tires, oilchanges, etc. A motorcycle like that will normaly be around $100-$150 rent a day.

We need to clear up, if it is possible trough my panama insurance company, if someone else can use the MC. If not, the costs are reasonable.

In case I do not sell 1 MC I am asking for a proper coverage of my lending value to be protected in case of an accident.

Both Triumphs have 3 travel cases each and ride exellent. I still have one in Germany, driven around 50,000 miles and it rides as smooth as it would be brand new.

Great MCs those Tigers.

PS: if someone is just looking for a travel companion and already has a MC, just let me know, too.

Saludos
Alex

I am in Barranquilla Colombia if you want someone to travel with for a couple of weeks I can come to Panama and then we can use the ferry to get them back to Colombia. I am here visiting my wifes family until Jan. 12th.

Actually, let me know what you really want to do and I will see if I can make it work. I am available for more time if we go to Colombia or if we ride back to USA otherwise it would probably only be a couple of weeks.

thanks
Pat

I'll be in Central America from January-July. Will traveling around Honduras in June and headed back to the USA, at a relaxed pace, in late June/early July. By that time I will have a very good knowledge base of Honduras & Guatemala.

I just posted this earlier today:

Do you want to let me know your tentative itinerary?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
