Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Serbia Green Card/Border Insurance Cost
Hello,
First off I've tried searching for information on this, but can't find anything that has been posted in the last few years so excuse me if this is a repeated topic.
I'm travelling through the Balkans next week, and for the most part I am covered on my UK insurance.
I'm entering Serbia from Hungary, and then driving through into Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As my insurance doesn't cover me, I'll need to buy insurance at the border crossing. Does anyone have any updated pricing on how much it costs? I'm going to be in each country for less than 3 days.
I am actually covered for Bosnia on my insurance, but they want £35 for the Green Card which they can send out but don't think it'll arrive in time, plus possibly be cheaper to get it at the border.
And then on a naughty note, I have my insurance documentation as a PDF. I was thinking I could just edit it to include both countries? Has anyone ever done this?
Looking forward to your replies.

I initially bluffed my way into Bosnia with my expired green slip insurance from Australia, the guard on the other end tried to fine me $150Euro for not having insurance when exiting to Montenegro.
Fortunately he took pity on me, after waiting around for 10 minutes he stamps my passport so i could exit and says "heres a present for you" and hands me my passport.
As i enter the Montenegro border control they said i can't buy insurance at this border and i had to go back into Bosnia and go to the other border 30Km down the road.
So in short i entered Bosnia again and paid $20 Euros from memory for insurance to go 30km down the road
I can't comment of the editing a green card.

Bosnian border insurance
Just crossed from Croatia at bijaca border crossing a few days ago.
Cost was 10 euro for seven days.
No fuss. Park bike walk over to office with logbook and give them ten euro for handwritten certificate valid for seven days.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
