Help needed to uptodate Visa Paperwork in İstanbul for asian cis. stans countries..
Merhaba,
Generally all travellers heading to asia (on south black sea routes) from europe stop in istanbul for visa formalities, mostly meet for a chat and I am trying to keep a current paperwork procedure for them besides Turkish friends...
As you may guess, İstanbul is getting quite an expensive, boring city and noone wants to stay longer here..So I think it will be good to share your current experiences for these countries (aspecially cis. stans countries)so that travellers can be fast in visa procedures and this will be a nice benefit for all of us....
All the best..

Greetings Mehmet...
'İstanbul is getting quite an expensive, boring city'
Have to disagree with the boring part.... for those coming from Europe, it is the first taste of all things eastern, good acclimitsation for crazy traffic, shashlik, food, hospitality, tonnes to see, and a great place to get servicing, parts, tyres, headscarves for ladies, etc before heading further into places of lesser availability... and vice versa if you've just come from obscure places.
All these things take time, and although Istanbul is not the cheapest city in the world, its a great place to stop, stock up, prepare.. and enjoy your famous kindness and assistance.
I do agree that it is good to pool all the visa info and timings as a plan of action... first day in the city should be running around trying to sort all of these types of things out.
:-)

First of all thanks for the sweet words about my country, so much appreciated...
That is not my words, said by almost all friends who are here on vehicles again on the way to stans and they wish to finish paperworks at once..
As you know, am keeping all visa paperwork inf. for asian and north african countries here and forwarding them to all who asks..Just a friendly support but I guess better to keep it current and perfect...
Sometimes you loose a day if a small point is missed and this makes me to be more carefull
Big selams from İstanbul..

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
