Paperwork: USA to Argentina and Back
I just want to confirm that the information I have gathered is accurate, if anyone is willing/able to advise.
This is the list of documents that I have pieced together from various sources:
For ME:
- Passport with available pages and time for each country
- Yellow Fever vax record
- COVID vax record
- Country specific COVID test results
- Proof of medical insurance
- Valid Drivers License with plenty of time before expiry
- International Driver Permit (IDP)
- Inter-American Driving Permit (IADP) for Uruguay and Brazil
For the bike:
- Valid Registration with enough time before expiry
- USA proof of insurance
- Local proof of insurance (varied by country)
- Import/export documents (obtained at each border)
I am trying to make sure I do not make a really dumb mistake and roll up to Mexico's front door missing a simple piece of documentation.
Unless I plan to sell the bike, there is no need to pack the title, correct? I know, dumb question, but I want to be sure.
I have read that the Carnet is no longer needed for CA or SA, so that's one less thing...
Thanks in advance!!
