Container shipping Dubai to Port Sudan
Hi
avoiding Egypt our route is Iran, UAE, Oman and
we got the first quote shipping a container from Dubai to Port Sudan
Container incl. all local charges in Jebel Ali/Dubai to Port Sudan:
20" 2.125USD
40" 3.100USD
transit Time: 10 Tage.
transport insurance 360USD
fees, fixer, custom, etc. in Port Sudan is not included
We are planning to ship sometime in November, our Minibus is about 4,60m ... the 20" container is 5,70m ... so 1 motorcycle should fit
Of course a 40" has much more space (2 cars, several motorcycles)
Anybody interested in the same shipping route and like to share the costs ???
Cheers Thomas & Andrea

2. quote
Hi
today we got another quote ...
Dear Mr Thomas
Please find the below rate from Salalah Oman to Port Sudan per 20' container
Freight charges : Usd 2600 Per 20' and including Local charges at Salalah.
Transit Time 13 days
Weekly Sailing
Rate Valid till 15 Sept 2013
Regards
Shravani
So far the quote from Dubai is cheaper (20' $2125.-) and there is a flight directly to Port Sudan for about Euro 110.- every Monday

Hi Tom,
Can you tell me which companies you contacted for the shipping to Port Sudan? I'm interested in shipping a Landcruiser from Dubai to Port Sudan too. I expect to be in Dubai at the end of November. Are you still there then? Sharing costs would be nice.
Greetings,
Pim

container
Hi
just arrived in Durban by plane ...
loading the car in the container was very easy ....
first you need a port pass (bring an invation from the shipping company), drive to the warehouse, take out you personel belongings and they drive the car into the container and strap it tightly
they told me that they ship 15-20 cars every day to many destination, the guys at the warehouse are all nice and helpful
We can really recommend the company ... icbdubai.com
Hope this is useful ...
Now in Durban, we are waiting for the container to arrive ...
