Mumbai to Iran and UK to Mumbai motorcycle shipping

Hi Guys,

Need expert advice on few things.

1) Mumbai to Bandar Abbas (IRAN) - I have got a agent in mumbai who will be helping me to transfer motorcycle from Mumbai to Bandar Abbas. He has given me a quote of 600 USD.He is also telling me that there will be a charge of 750 USD at the port for clearance. Can anyone please confirm if 750 USD is legit amount to get your motorcycle cleared at Bandar Abbas port.Any recommended agent at Bandar Abbas to get this done ?

2) UK to Mumbai - I am planning to ship my bike from Southampton to Mumbai. Can anyone please help me with a recommended agent or company name which can help me provide quote and shipping when needed.I tried some of the companies with google, but i haven't received any response from the inquiry form they have in their websites.

Regards
Rohit

Mumbai to Bandar Abbas is now sorted and i will be going to ship my motorcycle using SECO shipping company which is famous for stealing stuff and does not have much good reviews.Quote is of 44000 (654 USD).There are other folks who are offering shipping services but they are not offering the complete package like..crating/custom clearance and everything else.

Need lots of luck on this one and on the Iran side of custom clearance, considering that clearance has to be done around Ramadan period.

Cheers
Biru

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
