Panama to Colombia Motorcycle Shipping
Hey guys. Im riding my motorcycle from New York to Argentina. I was in contact with Captain Ludwig about throwing my bike on his sailboat from Panama to Columbia in early January but he just got back to me saying there was an issue with the owner of the boat and they don't have use of it anymore. He's working on another boat for January trips but I'm not sure if I can rely on that right now. So I'm looking for another way to get my bike to Columbia. Does anyone have any word on how to go about it via Airplane after the whole covid situation? Im currently in Mexico one month into my trip and will probably get to Panama a few days after New Years.

The whole situation is fluid, and can change at any moment., Currently air is still possible, depending on where you want to go. Panama to Bogota SHOULD be ok, and is a common route. Check the Shipping section for more on that. Start here: https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ge...pping-the-bike
and of course search!
Best of luck and please let us know how it all goes!!

shipping
this is a disaster but it makes good video the authorities have probably fined the shit out of this parachute company operator transporting his 850 to Panama because there is no regards to air regs if you watch the take off there are no seatbelts fastened moto is not secured this is a red neck Colombian that lives higher than the law with money to burn
he has more money than you can imagine and is having fun
this is not how it is done in aviation he got away with it the beginning of the video at the airport security he had to pay 250 bucks to get air side then they would not let him ride his bike he was escorted walking his bike normal Colombia

You either don't speak Spanish or didn't watch the entire video.
He shipped his bike to Bogota from Cartagena in the small plane, not to Panama.
He used CargoRider in Bogota to ship his bike to Panama.

One more thing, he is Spanish, not Colombian

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
