Hello all,
Well as a sponsor of this forum i thought it time to introduce myself!
My name is Stan and ive been a member here since 2001.
Ive done various trips on motorbikes, North Africa in 1992 on a KLR600, Australia and New Zealand 1994-1996 on an XT600 Tenere, Morroco many times 2003-2006 on Dr400, ktm450, ktm 950 adv.
Then in 2009 we decided to build a big truck, pack everything in and head off.. We got Chris Scotts old MAN 8.136 and built a home on wheels, now with a 3 year old and a dog to accommodate we set off heading East to the Stan's and beyond to Mongolia and ultimately Alaska
Thats when i started Home - Overlander
It started life as my favourites list and developed into a resource..
Our trip didnt work out, our dog died, my son got ill, i got ill, we spent all our money on medical stuff and came back home and had to get back on with normal life!it doesnt always work out as you planned !
In more recent times as we arent able to travel due to school / work etc ive kept my interest in overland travel by changing the focus of theoverlander.org to supplying kit for fellow adventurers and helping source vehicles.
I have a passion for Unimogs and Landcruisers and have many contacts worldwide to enable me to source vehicles for people. This interest has escalated into selling expedition kit and camping kit as well, decent kit that i would use, some usual suspects and some exclusive to us..
So please check out the site, thanks to Grant for letting me be here, and maybe see you at the next HUBB ( We went to the last one and it was ace!)
