Greetings from a Swiss Miss

Hi everyone

I finally decided to join the crowd, after much reading and perusing.

What can I say about myself? I'm a girl, currently living in Switzerland, and the happy owner of two 2008 BMW 1200 GS Adventure, named Cow and Panda (photos attached).

Cow (the gray) for my daily commutes and weekend rides.

And Panda (the red), fully kitted for extensive traveling - she has already been to China with her previous owner.

Having had the chance to tour Europe quite a bit, I have long had my sights set on the East. And the rest of the world.

I should get a first taste in May 2015, thanks to someone special.

And will then, hopefully, start planning that first loooooong trip, for 2016.

Bye for now

Thank you

Not Swiss. But I have been living here for a number of years now.

I see you are in Australia.

My parents have been living there for the past 8 years. First in WA and then in QLD. Had quite a few nice trips down under to visit.

They left today actually. To move to the U.S.

With a name like Miss Lapin, are you related to our Australian Prime Minister, Mr Rabbit?

Lapin was the name of one of my donkeys. And no, don't ask why a donkey was named Lapin...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
