Hello everyone!
Just wanted to drop in and say Hi!
I'm Anton, 27, from Sweden and I've been lurking around the hubb for the last few months and been finding it really helpful for my trip. And decided its time to join the discussions now
Have previously been doing a bit of bicycle touring but last year I got tired of all motorcycles whizzing by... so I went ahead and got myself a MC license instead! During this time I also read "Jupiters Travels" which got me inspired to do some motorcycle traveling.
I bought my first Motorbike this April, a 2014 CRF250L and since July I have been traveling on it around Europe. I'm currently in Croatia and will be doing some climbing and TET riding around the balkans/Greece and after that I will go from Morocco down to South Africa later in the Autumn. Who knows if it works out with Covid and everything.. but I'll give it a go and see how far I can get.
Was really hoping on joining one of the Horizon meetups as I know next to nothing about motorcycles/maintenance.. but unfortunately none of the dates/places matched up! Will have to try to join one next year instead. But fortunately, the bike has been holding up great so far (I hope I didn't jinx it now...)
Here is me and my bike:

Hope to see ya'll out on the roads and hit me up if you're planning on riding similar route!

Well for a newbie, you certainly made a great decision on the bike side. Welcome to HUBB and I hope your plans work out.

Yeah I think the bike choice is not too bad. I especially like that it is quite lightweight so that I can pick it up by myself, which has already happend a few times too many times.. haha

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
