Redbird - new to The Hubb
Hi All
Like others i have been having a very interesting read and have now gone the next step to say hello. I've not done much bike travel but we all have to start somewhere. I have done Central Coast to Tassie about 3000kms worth. Didnt rough it at all that time but am keen to travel long and far on a budget in the future.
I have been gathering the camping gear after reading info on here. Now looking for a tent! definatley bit by the bug. Just need to link up with others in same state of mind.
Cheers Redbird aka Jill

Hi Joe
Thanks for the welcome. I am trying to get to the HU meeting, just sorting it with work etc.
Yes give the camping gear a run is a good option.

HU meeting
Hi Joe
All should be good with work, fingers crossed.
Do you know which route you are taking? and i see you have a bike collection! I will be on my trusty red triumph sport.
I havent had a good look yet at options jsut know it wont be Pacific Hwy. Drove to Byron Bay recently and the road works and speed zone changes are a nightmare.
Cheers Jill

Hi
Hi Steve,
You have quite a ride ahead of you.
Will keep an eye out for you. I will be meeting up with another rider from Sydeny area just past Wyong on the F3 at the Caltex servo on the thursday morning. I see you have been to 2009 HU meeting, was it at the same location in Qld?
Cheers Jill

Hi Jill
Yes attended at the Cooroy meet, you meet lots of interesting people and get lots of info.
The event is well organized and worth the trip.
Compared to some of the people my trip is just a short warm up.
See you there, as l tend to wander, but will be there thursday night.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
