Dubai to Sydney
just completed my Dubai to Sydney ride on my temperamental KTM 990 Adventure.
Took the ferry from Sharjah to Bandar Abbas, rode up to Tehran and down to Pakistan border.
Crossed Baluchistan under escort, was diverted to Karachi. Broke down in Sukkur and got to Lahore on the back of a truck. Skipped most of India after KTM in Amritsar failed spectacularly to fix my bike and rode a Royal Enfield through Nepal while my KTM was airlifted from Delhi to Bangkok.
Toured Thailand and Malaysia after getting the bike fixed in Bangkok, crossed the length of Indonesia after shipping bike from Penang to Medan on the onion boat and finally shipped the bike from Dilli to Darwin.
Rode Darwin to Sydney over Broome, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and the Aussie Alps.
95 riding days, 30,000Km. All in all quite a fun ride.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need any info about this route.
Cheers, Jeroen
