Indian Visa in Kathmandu
Does anyone know if it's possible to get an indian visa at the embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal? I'm arriving at the border with my motorcycle.

India Visa
Yes India visa in Kathmandu by the India Visa Service Centre next to the Embassy. They only give single entry visa for 3 months.
Look on internet and fill the form and with special sized pasfoto go to the service centre wait 6 days, go back and bring your pasport and the next day you can collect your visa.
good luck

Thanks Ronald! I'm sure I can find some amazing things to do around Kathmandu for six days to occupy my time! I'm really, really excited!

Hey Brennen
Indian visa is easy. You just need two special sized photos, but there's a shop beside the visa service center where you can do it, 300 rupee. But you need to go online and fill out a form on the indian embassy website and print it out and take that with you.
I'm in Kathmandu at the moment, picking up my visa tomorrow. Im riding to Europe. Get in touch if you want to grab a . Im staying at alobar1000 hostel.
Cheers

Hi Mark,
I'm still at work in Europe. Trust me I'd rather be in Kathmandu right now. My bike is in Kyrgyzstan where I left it. I'll be in Nepal in October. How many days did it take you to get your visa? Any stamps on the visa or in your passport about your bike?
PM me if you want some ideas on things to see on the way to the EU.
Ride safe!

Okay, carnet is getting renewed. Good news about being able to leave the bike without a hassle.

Is that the case FisherNZ?
The Nepal embassy only doe 3 months single entry?
I fly to Kathmandhu tonight. i was hoping to get my bike and ride to Leh before the passes shut and then go back an explore Nepal some more, hike Annapurna
and then enter India again to get to Pakistan.
I guess I could just get another 3 month Indian visa in Nepal after Im finished there?
Looks like we might get to have that together after all mate
