Shipping company in Mumbai
Hey motokoerier,
A good relaible shipping Agent in Mumbai is Seco Shipping. You can call Mustafa on 09892117786. He's helped a couple of my friends last week to Ship their van back home and specializes in shipping overlander's vehicles. I and my family run a gas station called 'Karfule' a couple of minutes from Seco shipping. Do drop by and say hello if you're in the area and if you need any help bike-related or otherwise.
1, Walchand Hirachand Marg, Ballard Estate, Fort, Mumbai, MH 400038
Sadikally Esoofally & Company - Mumbai - Custom Agents,Cargo & Shipping service provider.
Regards,
Daniel.

Hello
I regret to inform you all, that seco shipping turned out not so good afterall.
Very friendly people and very helpfull, but the crating of the bike turned out to be awfull.
It was more a basket than a crate. My AT was wrapped in a little bit of plastic foil. , the bike was fastened with Iron straps witch damaged the aluminium, the signallight was damaged, helmet stolen.
The shipping cost Mumbai to Rotterdam was about 500 eur
, but they forgot to mention that 600 eur had to be paid in Rotterdam.
Conclusion, stay with your bike and make sure the bike is crated well.
Inform about the price in the port of departure as in destination

SECO SHipping Sucks!
Sorry I saw this thread only late...
Please do not use SECO shipping.
Mutafa (the agent) is very charming and speaks a good english, they do know how to deal with the Carnet the Passage (bribing custom officers) but they have no clue on how to handle crating and shipping ..(lost key, panier dented, BIKE DRIVEN FOR 34 KM!!)
As we already posted on the shipping section of the forum, we strongly advise against them.

Don't ship with seco shipping!
You will regret it forever!
If you need to ship -let's say- 1 ton of onions, ok go on with them.
But if you are going to ship a bike that you care of... DON'T SHIP WITH SECO SHIPPING!
Items stolen, damages and amateurish approach, this is what you will face. And at the higher rates!
But unfortunately it seems that my advice is not in time anymore, sorry! : :

I've shipped quite a bit of stuff out of India over the years and in my experience the mistake most people make is leaving the packing to the agent. ALWAYS oversee the packing of your items yourself, it isn't difficult or expensive, just time consuming.

Sadikally Esoofally = SECO shipping = cheaters
Yes: SECO shipping is the acronym of Sadikally Esoofally & Co. shipping company. The worst shipping I've ever deal with...
Stay out of the way of them!

Seco shipping
Hello,
We just shipped our bikes from mumbai to dubai with SECO and would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to ship their CPD vehicle from Mumbai.
As is the case all over the world, but probably especially in India, if you want you bikes crated up to your own standard, you should be there in person and oversee the process. In our opinion one cannot complain afterwards, and definitely not blame the agent about these issues if he/ she was not actually there!
And yep, bargaining is a must...
Also, be sure to find out if the quote includes warehouse and handling cost on the other side, I have not met one agent that does include those cost in their initial quote.
Also custom clearance charges on the other side have never been included in any of our shipments.

Follow up on shipment with Seco shipping
Though initially we were pretty happy with Mustafa from Seco Shipping.
We shipped our bikes from Mumbay to Dubai and found upon unpacking in Debau quite a few items were stolen from the crate.
After contact with Mustafa he promised to follow up on the theft issue as he claimed this was simply not acceptable. Unfortunately after that first reaction, which incidentally came together with the date we posted this review above, we have not heard a single word from him since.
Therefor I have to conclude there is no consistency in his behaviour. I have difficulty finding his friendliness sincere and doubt if he would have been this professional had we not pointed out the many negative reviews beforehand.
