Iran Visa

Hello,

Firstly, I will apologies for any poor forum etiquette. I am Alex and I am a complete forum newbie. I do have various 4x4, bicycle and most importantly motorbike travel experience but forums are whole new world to me.
I set off on a world trip from UK this April 2022. I already have a Pakistan Visa, India shouldn't be a problem once they open land borders. But as a UK passport holder I am struggling with Iran. Does anyone out there have any up to date information or contacts in relation to a Transit/Tourist visa to get me from Turkey to Pakistan through Iran?

Much thanks in advance

Alex

Last thing I heard was that it was still a requirement to have a guide if from the UK, America and Australia. Whether that changes following the settlement of the Chieftain Tank debt remains to be seen.

For this question, you are better off asking an Iranian travel agent, as they know the prevailing situation.

If it is currently possible, you will as a minimum need to book a full organised tour.

Try the Caravanistan website for recommendations, or start Googling.

Isn't it Canada, not Australia, that has the restriction?

Doh, I think you’re right. Old age.

This was the reply I got earlier in the week with regards to getting a visa.

Thanks for your email. I would love for you to travel to Iran. Unfortunately, citizens of Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom can enter and leave Iran only through air borders such as Imam Khomeini Airport.

Also you must consider a few important tips in order to obtain an Iranian visa.

– US, UK, or Canada citizens will have to have their itinerary and tour guide approved beforehand. Sticking to the itinerary is part of the conditions of visa approval, so sticking to the itinerary and the instructions of the tour guide will ensure that there are no problems.

– US, UK, or Canadian citizens must be accompanied by a guide at all times while they are in Iran.

– All applications from US, UK, or Canada citizens must be accompanied with a detailed resume.

How long does it take?

US, UK, or Canada citizens can expect to wait anywhere from 1 to 2 months to receive their Visa Code.

Once you receive your visa authorization code, you’re officially approved to get a visa.

Then, all you need to do is actually *get* the visa in person or by mail (FedEx).

Visa requirements

– Apply for Iran visa approval code online (Click here)
– A passport scan
– A passport size photo
– A complete tour itinerary (provided by SURFIRAN)
– A professional resume (Sample)

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards
Mehdi

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
