Good EU A2 Bike?
Good Evening All,
I'm a young guy who is interesting in joining in on Adventure Motorcycling. I'm looking to get a second bike to do this, one that I don't mind getting abused a bit, potentially dropped and one that will do a decent job on or off road.
The only problem is that I'm on an EU A2 Licence. This restricts me to a bike of 47bhp.
Is there any bike that you guys can recommend?
I'm aware that the XT660 and the KLE500 may be good options, as they are A2 compliant and useful for on and off road. (From what I've read.)
Any help will be appreciated.
Billy

hey billy i m also on an a2 license and had actually narrowed down my choice to the exact same 2 bikes as you
but the more i read the more weight seems to be an issue offroad, esp if travelling solo
so i ve opened my search to drz400, wr250r, ttr 250, dr350, dr650, ttr600
there are quite a few bikes out there that are a2 compatible each with differing strengths
currently i m in between the xt660r and the wr250r as bikes that can do a bit of everything

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
