Wow! Nice one Mark.
I saw you (from behind) on the M27 roundabout earlier this year and thought she looked clean and tidy. It would have needed an aggressive ride to catch up and pull you over to say hello - I thought that would be rude so I didn't bother.
Did she need a rebore? I was never sure whether all that clattering was piston slap or just the noise a big single cylinder makes.
And sorry for all the stripped threads. Honestly not mine, I think a previous owner had a heavy hand.
It is so nice to see that she lives on. I put a lot of work in to getting her back from the dead. Getting that number plate on her was an amazing moment.
Well done!
Edit - I do apologise for the side stand though. It didn't have one to start with. The bracket was missing - broken off from the frame. The only bike in the yard with one close to the right length was on a Kawasaki. So we took the stand off that and my mate ground the bracket off, shaped and messily welded it to my (your) bike. The only springs we could find were too short so we bodged one that seemed close enough and that was what we put it together with.
This is me grinding all the messy weld off to get it back in to some sort of serviceable shape.
