Touring South America on a 125cc motorcycle. An adaptation of three tattered Moleskines kept on the road. A full narrative of the journey, for those who enjoy something more involved than a straightforward 'ride report'. A work in progress by Paper Trail Tramp (known on HU as Moto Tramp).

A husband and wife team that's decided to step off the well worn and beaten path of "normal" life and go on the adventure of our lives. Over the last 5 years we've ridden over 75,000km's around North America and just can't get enough. So we quit our jobs, sold the house and most everything we own and are riding our motorcycle 2up from our home in southern Ontario around the globe. Newfoundland to Alaska to Ushuaia and beyond.

Out'n about Motorbike adventures is all about Trav, Nat & Jas getting on the bikes and travelling our great land of oz and beyond. The more remote the better!
Trav & Jas are on the KTM 990 adventure and Nats on the KLR650.
Trav had his first bike at age 4 and is now onto about number 15. Being bought up on bikes I could think of nothing better than travelling in and around Australia with my wife Nat and daughter Jas. We have done a fair bit of travelling and camping in the 4wd including 3 month up the centre of australia heading north to Darwin, Kakadu, Kimberleys and the west coast, also flinders ranges and limestone coast of south australia. Trav as a young guy has been up to cape york and fraser island. In that time we have had a number of camper trailers and big tents, but it's time to get back to basics on 2 bikes and what ever camping gear we can fit.
We have done a few weekends and plenty of day trips on and off road in preparation for some bigger trips that include Tasmania for 2 weeks over easter and planning a trip on the darling river run in outback nsw and also some bigger trip up north in the future. As a hobby i will be trying to document these trips as much as possible and to share our journey. So i guess we'll see you somewhere when we're out'n about!

Three years of planning, countless hours pawing over the Horizons Unlimited website, testing gear including the bike around Australia.
In February 2014 Paul Nomad flew his BMW R1200GSA - Ziggy - from Brisbane, Australia to Los Angeles to begin a three year solo journey around the world. The route will take him to the US & Mexico, Central and South America, South Africa to Europe, followed by the ride home to Australia.
The route and timeframe are not set in stone so anything can happen!
Follow the adventures, enjoy the photos and share in the story along the way.

Two of us Brits are heading over to the good ole US of A to have a go at the TAT trail & the much easier Blue Ridge Parkway, with maybe the off off road sortie to add a bit of spice in June 2014... We've set up a bit of a blog to record both the bikes, the fun of getting ready & then the trip itself. After this we're gonna look at a trip to India from the UK...

Our two year adventure to travel on motorbikes across 4½ continents with the family pet, Skyla our dog.
This will be the adventure of a lifetime! Two years will provide the time necessary to absorb the diverse cultures and landscapes of the 72 countries we plan to travel through across the America’s, Africa, Europe and parts of the Middle East. We will soar from the clouds sky diving, swim the depths of the ocean scuba diving and everything in between. Two major events to look out for on our journey are the Football World Cup in Brazil, June 2014, and the Centenary Anniversary of Gallipoli in Turkey, April 2015.

Three friends from the Netherlands, and me from Belgium have a blog about adventurous travelling and camping by motorcycle: www.motoravonturist.be
We have product and gear reviews, travel stories and blogs from world travellers integreted in ours. It's our hobby, we don't make money from our website and really want to keep it this way.
Adventure greetings, Domien

Join me as I travel from the prairies of Alberta to the penguins of Patagonia. My 6 month motorcycle journey from St. Albert to Ushuaia will cover 30,000km and 16 countries.
This trip of a lifetime was in part inspired by my brother-in-law who suffered a spinal cord injury. The ride is not only an adventure for me but an opportunity to raise awareness about spinal cord injury research.
